Nikita

With last week's penultimate episode that saw the death of Ryan Fletcher, Nikita and Alex go after Amanda as Nikita goes down the dark path and threatens to release everything that will potentially destroy the government. This has Michael concerned because the flashbacks show that Nikita had a dark soul. Complicating matters is the military involvement as the army goes after Nikita and plan to take her down regardless. Watching all this was Amanda who has underestimated Nikita, but she seemingly got what she wanted in having Nikita and her group captured. For a minute they had us believe that Nikita crossed that line, but what prevented her from doing so was her group as her influence on that has reflected back at her.

After Nikita gets captured by the government and military, Amanda had to savor this moment to rub it in until Nikita turned the tables on her and revealed that the whole thing was a plan to get back at her. For Amanda it's full circle as she's imprisoned in a basement where she started in. This opens up possibilities of her escaping and going after Nikita and her group down the line should the show revive as a possible TV-movie. Nikita and her group got closure as they went their separate ways and a happy ending is the best one for both Nikita and Michael. When we first saw Nikita in the show's pilot, she was at the beach and now she's back at the beach with Michael this time. Even Ryan got a cameo as sort of a ghost like Jonathan Kent was in Smallville. The entire group is pardoned and Nikita has fulfilled her final mission.

I want to thank Maggie Q, Shane West, Lyndsey Fonseca, Aaron Stanford, Devon Sawa, Noah Bean, Melinda Clarke, and the rest of the cast for giving us an action-packed show for four seasons. It's been one hell of a ride and I never Nikita as a mere TV series, but rather a series of weekly short action movies. The story doesn't really end for Nikita and family!!
