ABC's 'Castle' season 6 spoilers: How Nathan Fillion, Stana Katic's characters handle 'kid talk'

Do Castle and Beckett want to have children together? While that is a question that many "" fans may have asked themselves over the past several years, we're not quite sure that this is a question that the show itself has taken onat least until now.

We entitled "The Good, the Bad, and the Baby," and one of the primary questions that we were asking at the time was what the baby in this title referred to. One school of thought was that it could be all about Ryan becoming a father for the first time; while that may or not still happen, it appears now that it is really more about Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic's characters having that all-important "talk" while also taking on another challenge that presents itself to them: A literal baby that they have to suddenly take care of.

For more on the basic elements behind this story, just see what creator Andrew W. Marlowe says toin addition to the site explaining the premise, which revolves around "Caskett" discovering a baby at Christmastime abandoned at a church:

"IF I'M THE FAN AND I'VE BEEN WATCHING THIS SHOW, I KNOW A LOT ABOUT RICK AND KATE, BUT I DON'T REALLY KNOW HOW THEY FEEL ABOUT MORE KIDS. DOES CASTLE WANT MORE? AND FOR BECKETT, SOMEBODY WHO HAS BEEN PURSUING HER CAREER AND HER JOB SO DOGGEDLY, I'M SURE IT'S CROSSED HER MIND THEORETICALLY -- 'OH, SURE. I'LL HAVE KIDS SOMEDAY' -- BUT SOMEDAY'S COMING UP."

As these two characters try to figure out whether or not they want to have children, they will of course have to figure out what to do with the one that they've found. This could be an emotional episode for sure and even a game-changing one, since it should be the last one that we have before the holidays are here.

This is not the only "Castle" episode in the end that has forced these two characters to really take on an issue that is very important to themselves. , and how Beckett handles the fact that she is going to marry a guy with a decent-sized spotlight always around him.
