This past week, I shared with youabout director Bob Peterson no longer get to direct his own Pixar movie, THE GOOD DINOSAUR. As you know, Peterson has long history with Pixar and so that info kinda surprised me, wondering if there's trouble in paradise. If you recalled, changes of director also happened to Brave.
has confirmed that Peterson will indeed no longer be the director of Pixar's THE GOOD DINOSAUR.
The following is Pixar Animation Studios' president's statement..
"All directors get really deep in their films,"
"Sometimes you just need a different perspective to get the idea out. Sometimes directorsare so deeply embedded in their ideas it actually takes someone else to finish it up. I would go so far as to argue that a lot of live-action films would be better off with that same process."
Still though, I can't help but wonder if this is all bittersweet or simply bitter, if this may even compel Bob to leave Pixar all together.
What a shame..
This info doesn't affect the release date, May 30th, 2014.
this year looked exciting. Can't wait to see the entire film.
