'Once Upon a Time' season 3, episode 6 preview: Ariel meets Ginnifer Goodwin's Snow White

"" is a world of fairy-tales, but it is also a world of that seems to follow the classic Six Degrees of Separation rather closely. It is near impossible to find a character on this show that does not have ties to someone else in at least some shape or form.

Usually when we have the arrival of a new character, they are someone with a link to at least one or two people who are already established. A great example of that is Tinker Bell, who was connected both to the stories of Regina and also the Blue Fairy; meanwhile, Peter Pan has a past with Rumpelstiltskin, Neal, and also Captain Hook. But as for the latest one in Ariel, JoAnna Garcia's character knows Regina (as evidenced in the previous sneak peek) and also Ginnifer Goodwin's Snow White.

This is the subject of the new sneak peek below from ABC, which features Snow's frantic escape from the Queen's guards, where she makes the pretty-bold move to jump straight into the ocean off of a cliff. Did she manage to escape them? Sure, but at the same time she threw herself straight into danger of drowning. Since we refuse to believe that Snow realized that there could be a mermaid waiting underneath the water somewhere to save her, we will just chalk this one up to luck.

As for the first conversation between the two characters, there is not much in the way of revealing dialogue. However, we do wonder just how cold these two ladies were in filming this scene, given that the show films in the not-so-warm place of Vancouver. This has to be one of the worst parts of the job, especially for Garcia given that she is required to be in the water a good chunk of the time thanks to the problem known as "having a giant fin for a tail." (She does at least develop some land legs for another part of her story, .)

As for what sort of role Ariel might have with the present-day story of the characters and Neverland, we imagine it going something like this: They all want to escape after saving Henry, and . Therefore, what better person to lend them a helping hand?
