First Impressions

It's nice to see that some anime are still trying. Although I do think that in some cases it's trying a bit too hard. This is pretty evident in the visuals. When our heroine is around all her schoolgirl classmates, the audience was suddenly bombarded with textures: army camp for main girl, and pink shoujo flowers for everyone else. It's kind of like texture synesthesia, and it's a little much. Even without them, the visuals would've been eye-catching enough. Though I suppose it does distract us from the rather crappy animation.

The other notable thing about Nobunagun is the soundtrack. It definitely stood out and wasn't too shabby.

Anyway, this is pretty fun and entertaining and I hope it stays that way. Judging from the character list, it's probably gonna get pretty wild.
