Some quick images from this year's VERTIGO Preview book called Defy. As you can see, the cover and two interior pages are given to The Sandman: Overture, a six-issue series by NEIL GAIMAN and J H WILLIAMS III. But we may not see it before 2014 as the last image shows the publishing schedule through December 2013 without Sandman listed.
(Mark edits -- the fact that it's not listed here in Nov or Dec is a bit of a mystery, because as , the NYT recently said it would start on Oct 30, which would imply a Nov solicit.I'm sure this will be cleared up within a few hours.)
