NBC's 'The Voice' winner Danielle Bradbery, 'X Factor's' Fifth Harmony release singles

If you love singing-competition contestants, we imagine that this is probably a pretty great day for you. Why's that? You are basically having an opportunity to pick up some music from two people who made a significant impact on their respective shows this past year, and are now trying to make an imprint in the world of radio airplay and single sales (which is not always an easy thing to do).

We'll start with mostly because we think she has easily chosen the most difficult road for almost any artist: Trying to find success as a female country singer. We imagine that the rate is less than 1% of these sort of singers who actually have a top 10 radio hit, as there are really just a handful of singers who succeed in what is sadly still largely a boys' club. Will "The Heart of Dixie" find a way to sneak in there? We at least know that she has a strong consumer base when you factor in all of her iTunes performances on the way to winning the show for Blake Shelton. (Buy "The Heart of Dixie" .)

As for Fifth Harmony, Simon Cowell's girl group sensation already is in the top 50 on the pop charts with "Miss Movin' On," a sign that he really could be onto something with a sort of act that hasn't been around the American music scene in some time. Now that the music video is out, the real challenge here is just how much marketing and promotion he can manage to figure out for the ladies. (Pick up their song .)

In case you have not heard, Danielle , and Fifth Harmony will be hitting up the plaza themselves soon. Stay tuned, as we'll have more from both acts!
