Massive 4.5 Minute Comic-Con Trailer for 'The Walking Dead' Season 4

Comic-Con News: AMC has released a substantial nearly four-and-one-minute trailer for Season 4 of The Walking Dead, the most popular drama series on cable television. Although it was shamefully ignored during the recent Emmy nominations, the AMC series, which is based on Robert Kirkman's Image Comic, remains a ratings juggernaut and this trailer certainly should whet the appetite of the show's legions of fans with its glimpses of some of the serious problems that face the intrepid band of survivors of the zombie apocalypse in the upcoming season. The mega-popular zombie epic will kick off its Fourth Season on Sunday, October 13th, 2013.

The book is about an impossible-to-kill alien who becomes a grade school teacher bent on his own destruction at the hands of his students. You know - standard stuff for teachers.

Visitors to the Ottawa International Animation Festival this year (September 18-22) will definitely get their fix from the animation masters of the East: out of the record-breaking 15 features in competition in the official selection, filmmakers from Japan are strongly represented. Last year there were nine Japanese films in competition, and 10 in 2011.

Dynamite Announces 'Robotech/Voltron' Crossover Series

Comic-Con News: Dynamite Entertainment has announced that it has acquired from Harmony Gold and DC Comics the rights to publish a Robotech comic book series, though Dynamite plans to publish the first ever Robotech/Voltron crossover series first. Dynamite has been publishing Voltron comics since 2011 (see "Dynamite's 'Voltron' Launches in December"), and the publisher expects that the teaming of the popular Robotech cast of pilots with the five lions of Voltron will generate lots of fan excitement. Dynamite's new standalone Robotech series will debut after the Voltron/Robotech crossover ends.
