A Comic Show

Aaron Haaland writes;

Hey Fandom, I'm Aaron and this is A Comic Show's New Comics Now! This week we have some awesome off-genre titles as well as more Trinity War and some throwback books like Batman '66 and Deadpool's 70 s adventure.

First up, Numbercruncher by Si Spurrier is a self-described "TIME-TWISTING ROMANTIC THRILLER CRIME-NOIR METAPHYSICAL BLACK COMEDY". If you want something different, something that you haven't seen before, this is your book. It's about living in systems that make life a joyless routine and how the unpredictability of love is all that brings real meaning. Sure love can destroy you, but living life by the numbers can bore you to death.

Red Sonja #1 by Gail Simone is the book she was born to write! Her voice is heard on every page, I image her as Red Sonja while I read it (that's not a gender thing, I always imagined Geoff Johns as Hal and Dan Slott as SpOck). Her humor brands it as a proprietary sub-genre: low brow fantasy. This is Sword and Sousery at its best, everybody get drunk and slay!

JL of A #5 asks, if Trinity War is the answer, who is the Question? I'm really getting into this fast passed six part hero sandwich! New Guardians #22 gives us some answers to Relic, but asks plenty of questions as well. Like, who lights the Lightsmiths? Jordan continued to show he gets what makes Kyle tick, and hinted at a Carol being a cougar. Batman '66 was a pop art eyegasm. If you have a nostalgic bone in your body, check out these new stories based on the 60 s TV show!

Speaking of Nostalgia, see Deadpool time travel bad to the 70 s! Deadpimp "joins" Heroes For Hire and fights the White Man! Seriously.

Thanks for watching! I'll be at SDCC! If you see me, say HI!
