Kakumeiki Valvrave Ep 14: I fucking love Valvrave

I am so goddamn excited. This is the best episode of Valvrave ever with almost every character making an appearance and solidifying their personality. Season 2 has been superb and holy hell let me just say that I fucking love Valvrave- everything from the character design, their voices and the damn plot with everyone complimenting each other to push the storyline forward. It's so hilariously heartening to see a group of clueless but intelligent highschoolers fighting for a place to live in.

Typical good guy Haruto

HOW TO FLIRT WITH GIRLS 101 by Yamada Thunder

1. Show your hot bod. (what, is this Free?!)

2. Shove a drink into the girl's mouth to show your manliness

3. Walk away like a boss

Yep, you can expect picture spammage because everyone in Valvrave is just plain sexy. AND THE OP and ED ARE FABULOUS, I got so pumped up for the show!

AwwSo the focus of this episode is the highly intriguing relationship between Akira and Satomi. We see lots of misunderstandings, Satomi's gaping lack of courage to stand up for his sister, and their eventual unbreakable bond as siblings in their flashbacks. Both of them obviously care for each other, but Satomi was a coward, a puppet, in front of his fierce, controlling parents, and so left Akira in the lurch when she most needed him- thus an irreparable crack in their relationship was inevitable, but now Satomi reveals his true feelings in desperation and saves Akira. Yet in doing so he treads on the border of danger and gets overwrought, so the whole team steps in so save their dear friend Akira.

omg Akira

Young Satomi

GUILTY LIMIT OVERRRR

Teamwork is exceptionally beautiful when a scowling L-elf agrees to jeopardize their situation for the sake of friendship and comradeship.

But you're going to help them out anyway ;)

It's really amazing to see Satomi face his guilt head-on, and decide that he's gonna screw everything and do what he thinks is right. He is evidently scared of dying, but it's a huge leap he took to decide that he would use all he's got to protect the sister he loves. Of course, he's lucky to have a brilliant team backing him up. Comradeship at it's finest, yo.

And boy, Module 77 sure is lucky to have gotten an invaluable asset in the form of hot boy L-elf. He's a master strategist and i'm still so pissed off at how easily he lost to Cain in Season 1, like they just needed to hastily conclude the arc to move on. I foresee a coming ship- L-elf X Shoko (HAHAHA) because they relationship is so good even if L-elf seems distant! AND L-ELF X HARUTO IS THE BEST SHIP EVER

ALABASTER SEXY NECK SKIN Haruto is one lucky guy

I was so amused by this in episode 13. Haruto agrees to only feed on L-elf because he doesn't mind hurting L-elf; on the surface this seems like he has a purely working relationship with L-elf whereby they will do anything to reach the same goal even if they have different motives. But nope- it shows how much Haruto trusts L-elf over the rest and has confidence that he can handle him at his weakest and also most savage. What can I saythey are NAKAMA, man!!! They respect each other deeply while keeping a distance. Hoho.

One thing I find weird thoughis why Haruto had to RAPE Saki while he just bit L-elf's neck. He collects runes by feeding, so isn't the blood enough? If not, then why didn't he push down L-elf too :(

Okay anyway there's the Dorssian's side too. This show really has an interesting sense of humor to showcase the lighthearted aspects of the characters, even that of the supposed 'enemies'. It humanizes them and makes us realize that there's not really an evil side per se, because both the Dorssians and the Module 77 team are just fighting for what they think is right. We're all human and have dreams and wishes and worries and painful moments. L-elf was a Dorssian too, and he's not a conventional good guy, but he is one of the truest and most determined character. I'm not too sure about A-drei and team's motives, but I think that they are being controlled by the higher-ups. From the primary perspective of Haruto's team though, they are definitely doing the right thing by searching for a home they can call theirs.

WOW prince A-drei on a horse, so sexy

SEE YES I TOLD YOU HIS DAMN BOB IS HILARIOUS

and now.

the part that has got hot blood and adrenaline pumping through my veins.

AND THEY LANDED IN

DORSSIAN TERRITORY. Nice plot twist, knew they wouldn't settle comfortably in Earth yet. And, wait for it..

KYAAAA she sees their ship!

KYAAAAA she's in the OP!

K to the Y to the A KYAAAAAAAAAAAAA it's Princess Licht- aka L-elf's first love or something! She's totally gonna play a prominent role in Season 2! I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THIS GOSH development development development please. This episode is just so full of laughter, tears (I actually shed one tear for Akira and Satomi's sweet reconciliation) and there's so much goddamn anticipation and hope. There's so much to love about this anime with it's lovely characters, and absurd but promising premise of a team of such unique, immature, and unsteady highschoolers banding together and relying on each other to seek a better future, all whilst they slowly become hardy and bonded in blood and soul through their rough experiences. And some scenes are just hella amusing.

Everyone has gotta love Valvrave. Thank god I finally found to watch it in HD, i've been watching anime in substandard quality my whole life :(

P.S I love Unit 005 (the blue defense Valvrave) the best, it's seriously the strongest except it doesn't have the overpowered HARA KIRIIIIII blade. I mean, it's practically indestructible and the most useful so far. But maaan I bet they're gonna be swamped by the mass creations and the possibly superior Valvraves (with Plue) soon. At least there's progress with the creation of the add-on Familiar. Mecha anime can be so cool to watch sometimes.

So yup, verdict: VALVRAVE IS A-A-A-AWESOME!
