Harvest Celebration and Craft Day

Today we had an amazing harvest celebration and craft day with our home school "class". Abby did a great job organizing, planning, and creating all the craft/games they did. Kudos to this preggo momma, who wants to go out with a bang!

Each kid was supposed to come {if so desired} in their best harvest costume. Both my kidlets were cowboys/girls. Olivia already had a costume, but we found Zac's outfit at Goodwill.

They started out coloring some pumpkin coloring sheets to pass the time as they waited for the rest of the crew to show up.

The little were just too cute. Jesse decided to mimic a dog as he crawled through the doggie door.

Before we started all the messy crafts, we decided to get our traditional group picture before clothes, arms, and faces became decorated.

I just love this craft that Abby came up with. Well, according to her she didn't imagine this up on her own, but it was something she did when she was younger and remembered it. Such a cute idea. I loved it!

My sweet babe is growing up!

Grace looks so bored here as Ashley washes little hands. HA!

Decorating candy apples can be so fun, however, something tell me eating them was much more entertaining for these guys. I love how they all decorated them so differently.

Lilly get the award for stuffing the most candy on her apple!

Yummy! And sticky!

I love every bit of this!

Go for it Lydia!!

Next we headed outside for some games.

The first game they played was a team race to see which team could find the most candy corn in the haystacks. What kid wouldn't like to throw hay all over the place to find candy?!?

Baby Hannah looking cute as always.

Next was the sack races. Zac was so excited to participate. He gave it his all.

So much all that he fell with his all as well. Poor guy hurt his neck and had to sit out for a bit. After a few short minutes of rest, he was ready to join in the fun again.

{Yes, that is a picture of him in the middle of his fall. Yikes!}

Next we headed to the backyard for some more games. Racing to see who can eat the doughnut off the string without using hands. This was funny to watch.

Poor Lilly was having troubles with this game. We were all relieved when she finally got that doughnut in her mouth!

The kids also bobbed for apples and did a whipped cream race which I had difficulties capturing because of a certain little girl who needed some mommy attention.

After the party, we settled down for lunch and then the kids went for a quick swim.

Today's party was a blast!
