Catching Up

Riiiight, so this is embarrassing.

Wellp, it's been three weeks since I last wrote a post in here and before that it was probably a month since I wrote that one about us getting a dog. But something wonderful happened a couple of weeks ago and my writing spirit has been rekindled by a surprising source.

However, it's a long story. So sit back, get a cup of tea, grab a pumpkin, your cat, your brother, some pizza and your left foot, and brother, let me tell you.

So I'm kind of in the business of bread now.

See, as much as I love what I should be doing for a living, which is editing and shit, it's not like I have clients lined outside my non-existing office, and because I love to bake and I'm actually quite good at it,I recently started to do it professionally.

So far so good, really. I've got a few really good costumers, everyone seems to be liking what I make, and my catalogue is growing every week, since I'm using my friday mornings to experiment in the kitchen and help make my family fat.

I'll post my catalogue in here this week so you guys can look at what I've been doing and even maybe place an order if you feel like it.

But anyway, because of this sort of business thing of mine, which I am partially running with my boyfriend, I decided to open a Facebook page that would help me haul in costumers and whatnot. And because of that Facebook page, I reconnected with my best friend from primary school, Andy.

I've talked about Andy before in here, like that time when I told you the story of my stolen Hound of the Baskervilles, but I really hadn't spoken to her in the longest time, and so now I'm properly super glad I opened that bloody Facebook page.

Even if it did take me close to nine years.

To make a long story quite shorter, Andy told me she's been reading my blog and that she hopes I'll keep it up, and now I feel really bad that I haven't been writing because I do love this thing and I do want to keep going.

That said, I promise that from now on I'll make an honest, committed effort to keep going. I promise.

Other than that, lots of things have been happening over here.

Yesterday I had to take Penny down to the vet because she's been losing a lot of weight. Apparently there might be something going on with one of her kidneys, so she's on medicine now, but her spirits are still very high, and she insists quite a lot on getting belly rubs, which I do love giving her.

More news include that I've been very lazy at school and I haven't been reading at all; that I've changed the subject of my master's degree; that... well, I think that's pretty much it.

To be honest recently has been mostly about bread, school, Penny and boyfriend, and that's made me quite happy so far. I've been loving every second of it, actually.

However, as I was saying, it is my full intention to write more often now that I've got one more incentive to do so, and also, of course, because I really do love my blog. I really, truly do.

And now, for an announcement.

As you guys know, Halloween is coming up, and I don't want you to think for one second that I've forgotten the big Shining event I'm hosting this year as a sequel to last year's Alien Liveblog. I still have to check the logistics of it all, and for that I'd like to ask for your opinion. What day would suit you best for a liveblog, you guys?

Do let me know in the comments, or personally, or through Twitter or Facebook and we'll work something out. That is, if there is still someone else reading my blog.

Anyhoot, that's it for tonight, but I'll have you know, in a way of a promise, that upcoming posts shall be a review of the film Gravity, a post about Halloween films, the post about my catalogue, and if I have time this week, a poster advertising the big Shining event.

So look for those in the upcoming days.

It really feels lovely being back. Huh.

I'll see you soon, guys, have a lovely night.
