What to do when you are ill.

(duvet day)

It's September and just as England decides to dip it's toes into the colder air everyone is becoming ill. I unfortunately am one of those people that if there is a bug going around I will get it pretty quickly. I am not sure whether it's a very bad cold or the flu but according to Google I am probably going to drop down dead pretty soon.

Today I have been told to stay at home by my mum, which is a shame because I was really looking forward to going swimming today with school but I am finding it hard to walk and lift bags so swimming may be a bit difficult. Plus with a fever, a very high temperature and the occasional uncontrollable shaking it probably wouldn't bee the best idea. But today will be the only 'sick' day as I am far to busy to be ill. So here is what I like to do when I am ill and how I get better.

1. Do NOT sit around on Facebook all day. No one is online because no one is around. It is very boring and being bored probably will not make you feel better.

2. Listen to what your body is saying. This should be pretty obvious but if you're hungry then eat and if you are tired sleep. If your muscles hurt when you walk then do not over work yourself. Also if you have a headache or other aches and pains take some medicine (providing it's safe and the doctors agree it would be best).

3. Listen to music and if you feel like it take a slow walk outside. it may do you good.

4. Catch up with work if you are off school or read some notes that could help you with the lessons you have missed.

5. This is my favorite, take a bath and use a face mask, in other words just become the ultimate pamper princess.

6. Eat healthily and drink A LOT of WATER. It will help you fight of germs and just make you fell

better.

7. Once you are on the mend maybe do a few work outs or yoga sessions just to build your strength.

If you are reading this because you're ill then get well soon.

*Disclaimer: Please follow all professional advice they will know better than me this is just what I like to do. Thank you

Cheerio readers. :)
