We Don't Ever Really Know Anyone, Do We?



Last night NBC'spremiered after a summer long promotional campaign by the Peacock Network. All season long television audiences have been asked, "Who is Red Reddington?" Last night they finally found out, and NBC discovered that audiences liked what they saw when the new drama drew 12.6 million viewers to the premiere. In fact, THE BLACKLIST managed to do something NBC has been trying to do for some time - beat CBS, which it did as HOSTAGES only garnered 7.5 million viewers. In the "Pilot," Elizabeth Keen got ensnared by Red Reddington's game and discovered he knows more about her than she knows herself. The two helped take down a terrorist and kidnapper, and next week they're going after an undercover assassin.




Official Synopsis:



RED AND LIZ WORK TOGETHER TO TRACK DOWN A CRIMINAL WHO DISGUISES HIS KILLINGS IN THE HEADLINES OF EVERYDAY TRAGEDIES - ISABELLA ROSSELLINI GUEST STARS - Red (James Spader) predicts an impending catastrophe, rooted by the work of an assassin, called "The Freelancer." Together, Liz (Megan Boone) and Red go undercover to prevent from having his next target, Floriana Campo (guest star Isabella Rossellini) from being killed. Elsewhere, Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) and newly re-hired CIA agent, Meera Malik, (Parminder Nagra) who's been added to Red's private security detail, keep an eye on them from a distance. Meanwhile, Liz considers what she should do next concerning Tom (Ryan Eggold) and the mysterious box she found hidden under the floorboards. Harry Lennix also stars.

The two appear to be all business in the photo, and hopefully have found a lead on their target. Especially since The Freelancer has a target of his own. As Red and Liz have a night out on the town, Ressler is tasked with protecting Red.
