'Brooklyn Nine-Nine': For orders more scripts, but no word on full-season pickup

While this may not be the great news that everyone is hoping for just yet, but Fox is at least showing a moderate amount of confidence in "." After all, the network just decided to order more scripts of the police drama. While there is no concrete number on it just yet, claims that the order is for "several" more scripts of the police showand that is probably a reason enough to celebrate.

So why the support so early in the run? It may be seen as a vote of reassurance to a show that has not exactly won the ratings that it probably deserves right now. However, it is extremely well-reviewed to this point, even to the point that we have proclaimed it to be the funniest new show on the fall schedule. Its biggest obstacle right now? Just airing at a time that puts it up against "Agents of SHIELD," "The Voice," and "NCIS." There's not too much at all that could withstand this sort of pain and suffering.

Ultimately, though getting more scripts may not end up meaning very much at all. We saw something similar at the end of the day from Fox's "Ben and Kate," but we quickly saw this ultimately not materialize into much of anything at all when the dust settled. Only a few of the scripts ended up being made, and the show is now canceled. (This did work out pretty well for Dakota Johnson, though, given that she is now starring in the "50 Shades of Grey" movie.)

What is your reaction to this news, and are you hoping to see even more good things from the show this year? Be sure to share some of your thoughts below! Meanwhile, our most-recent episode review.
